IAM/Boeing Contract 2024 Negotiations Update - September 5, 2024

In one week, thousands of IAM 751 and W24 Machinists will gather in our Union Halls to cast a vote that will shape our future.

This is our moment - our opportunity to stand up for what we deserve for our families, our communities, and our country. The world is watching us, and what they see is clear. Workers standing together, unified in purpose, and participating in concerted activities in factories across Puget Sound and Portland. Families preparing, ready to face whatever comes next. Your Union negotiators, fighting day and night, making sure every word in the contract reflects the voices of the Members. Workers in other industries taking note and realizing, they too deserve more.

This negotiation is more than a contract - it's part of the spark reigniting the Labor Movement. We are changing the conversation, and that power comes from you. Whatever success we have is because of our Members. At Local Lodge A meeting tonight, the excitement was palpable, and the solidarity was overflowing.

We believe that we have laid out a path that, if the company follows, will lead to an agreement. The company has the power to do the right thing and meet us where we need to be. Their actions will determine the outcome. We are moving in the right direction, but we're not there yet. 

We are down to the wire, and the company's final offer is coming soon. Guided by your voices and with full transparency, we've done everything in our power to negotiate the contract you deserve.

Whatever happens in the next seven days, history will remember where we stood. While others stand for themselves, Machinists stand for everyone. This is Our Future, Our Fight, and we are fighting for you.
