Your Union passed its comprehensive proposal on March 8, 2024. That was nearly six months ago, and the expiration is fast approaching. The company did respond to our Quality and Safety proposal for additional involvement in the Quality Management System. It is good they are listening to your negotiators on this. However, the company and the Union are still far apart on Wages, Healthcare, Retirement and Job Security. ALL ARE IMPORTANT!
We've been at this for months now, and it's no longer the time for the company to be posturing or holding back.
Your Union has been very clear that our Membership has driven the proposals we are passing at the bargaining table. Our Members have gone far too long without meaningful wage increases; those wages have also been chipped away by massive inflation, increased healthcare costs, and diminished retirement since losing the pension. It's been far too long, and it's time for this company to recognize the value of the work our Members perform.
According to the website, Boeing's mission is to protect, connect, and explore our world and beyond. The company cannot do that without IAM 751 and W24 Members. It's time for the company to get serious about its future and what it wants to accomplish. So far, the economic proposals have been disappointing and have missed the mark.
There is a path forward together, but so far, they don't seem to recognize that it's been 16 years that its workforce has been sacrificing for this company. It's time to show some respect to the workers who have kept Boeing flying.
